JUSTYNA BUGAJCZYK
-
Justyna Bugajczyk is a Los Angeles–based multidisciplinary artist working across photography, ceramics, and spatial installation. Born in Poland, she holds a BA in Printmaking and an MA in Photography from the Łódź Film School.
Bugajczyk’s work explores the intersection of memory, identity, and landscape—examining what emerges when the boundaries between self and other, the living and the forgotten, begin to blur. Her sensitivity to material and space transforms each object into more than a form; it becomes a witness or silent participant in a larger emotional narrative.
Balancing intimacy and estrangement, her works invite viewers into spaces that feel both familiar and foreign, evoking the unease and wonder of entering another’s interior world. Her projects have been exhibited internationally in Los Angeles, Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris, and Warsaw. She is also the author of the photobook Helotyzm, czyli przestrzeń zawłaszczona (Helotism, or Appropriated Space).
Based in Los Angeles
